Goolwa

This project had an existing second storey deck that was dilapidated and out of service, the client brief was to construct a safe usable deck to enjoy entertaining while down at the holiday shack. This site was close to salt spray, so we used all stainless steel hardware and fixings.

The deck is a bright red Jarrah and the “Monument” colour contrast really sets this off. We have also installed a roof on the underside of the second storey for protection for the elements when it rains. One of the greatest features of this deck is the aluminium screen that follows the pitch of the roofline, a great way to create shade from that westerly sun in the afternoon and gain privacy from the neighbours.
